Is Marugame Udon Gluten Free?

Marugame is a high-turnover, high-volume udon chain. The kitchen boils large batches of wheat noodles in shared water and prepares tempura in shared fryers throughout the day, making cross-contamination unavoidable even for menu items ordered without noodles or tempura.

No Gluten-Free Noodle Option

Marugame does not offer a rice noodle, shirataki, or any other gluten-free noodle substitute for udon.
