All-Gluten-Free Restaurant

Gluten-Free T's Kitchen, Tokyo

Yes — Gluten Free T's Kitchen is an all-gluten-free restaurant. Its entire menu is gluten-free and its kitchen uses only ingredients free from wheat, barley, and rye. With two Tokyo locations (Roppongi and Ueno), it's one of the most reassuring places to eat in the city for travelers with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.

T's Kitchen at a Glance for Celiacs

  • Entire menu — gluten-free
  • Kitchen — uses no wheat, barley, or rye
  • Two Tokyo locations — Roppongi honten & Ueno-hirokoji
  • Supplier-level cross-contamination — possible (some ingredients from shared-wheat facilities)
  • Fully isolated Tier 1 facility — no (supplier caveat → Tier 2)
  • Overall suitable for most celiacs — Yes, with the caveat noted

How Safe Is It? (Tier 2)

We rate T's Kitchen as Tier 2 on our safety scale. This is a positive rating — the entire menu is gluten-free and no wheat is used in the kitchen — but it is not our top Tier 1 (a fully isolated facility with zero shared-supply risk).

The one caveat

T's Kitchen states on its own website that while its kitchen uses only wheat-, barley-, and rye-free ingredients, some of those ingredients may come from facilities that also process wheat — so a minimal cross-contamination risk can remain at the production source. For most celiacs this is reassuring; if you are highly sensitive, tell the staff and confirm.

Tips for Visiting T's Kitchen

Reservations are recommended, especially at the small Roppongi honten — book ahead where possible.

Because the whole menu is gluten-free, you can order freely — a rare experience in Japan. Still mention if you are highly sensitive so staff can advise on the supplier caveat.

The Ueno-hirokoji branch serves breakfast, which is unusual for GF dining in Tokyo — handy if your hotel breakfast is unsafe.
